Autumn Fragrance Picks PLUS Which One Did I Choose?

When autumn rolls around one of the things I look forward to most (aside from Pumpkin Spice Lattes and yoga pants) is picking a new fall fragrance.  Shopping for a new seasonal fragrance is so much fun.  Fragrance is something you can wear EVERY DAY and, to me, it’s worth it to spend a bit more money for something that I really love.  This year I had several on my list but I ultimately settled on something COMPLETELY different than what I normally go for.  Here are my Autumn Fragrance Picks and the one that I ultimately added to my collection!

The Honorable Mentions

 Jo Malone London(TM) Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne – $65.00 for 1 oz.

I was intrigued when I saw this in Nordstrom and then I got a sniff and was in love!  I must admit that even though this didn’t win as my “signature autumn scent” this year, I feel like I’m going to be ordering this one anyway.  It’s warm, it’s spicy yet still very feminine.  Absolutely stunning.

Notes: Mimosa, Cardamom, Tonka Bean, Sandalwood, Heliotrope, Damask Rose

Style: Warm, Ethereal, Mesmerizing

Diptyque Vetyverio Eau De Parfum – $155.00 2.5 oz.

Again we have a fragrance that’s very different than what I typically gravitate toward but this was just so lovely.  The Turkish Rose and Grapefruit notes keep it feminine while the Haitan Vetiver provides earthiness and the Pathchouli gives it the warmth I’m looking for in an autumnal fragrance.  It’s a bit more woody than I was looking for but a beautiful scent nonetheless.

Notes: Haitan Vetiver, Patchouli, Grapefruit and Turkish Rose

Style: Woody

Maison Margiela Replica By The Fireplace Fragrance – $126.00 3.4 oz.

Fortunately my husband doesn’t read my blog because even though this Replica fragrance didn’t win as MY fragrance of the season, this is still on my list as a Christmas gift for him.  I think he would absolutely love it!  The thing I like about this fragrance is that it’s made to suit both men and women.  It’s a really cosy, warm scent and I would most definitely wear this on really chilly days when I’m bundled up in a scarf with a coat, gloves and a warm winter hat.

Top Notes: Pink pepper, Orange Flower Petals, Clove Oil.

Middle Notes: Chestnut Accord, Guaiac Wood Oil, Cade Oil.

Base Notes: Vanilla Accord, Peru Balsam, Cashmeran.

Style: Warm, Comforting, Moody

Georgio Armani Prive Pivoine Suzhou – $175.00 3.4 oz./ 100 mL

The Armani Price Pivoine Suzhou fragrance is admittedly the most expensive fragrance on my list.  I had my hands on the Limited Edition bottle with the pink cap and the sparkly pink enhancement last year and passed on it because I wasn’t prepared to drop THAT MUCH money on a perfume.  I’ve regretted it ever since.  The fragrance itself is not limited edition but that pretty pink liquid with the pretty pink cap was.  And while this may not seem like a traditionally “fall scent”, it does have some of the muskier base notes with more feminine top notes and it is really beautiful.  I was recently watching a London vlogger on YouTube mention that she heard the limited pink edition is going to be coming back but I’ve not yet confirmed that.  If it does, I will definitely not miss out this time around and I’ll update this post with where you can get it!

Top Notes: Green Tangarine, Pink Pepper, Raspberry

Middle Notes: Rose Essence, May Rose Absolute, Peony

Base Notes: Amber, Orcanox, Musk, Patchouli

Style:  Floral, Delicate, Sparkling, Refined

The Winner

Nest – Indigo $72.00 1.7 oz./50 mL Eau deParfum Spray

Indigo by Nest Fragrances just had everything I wanted; it’s warm, it’s moody and it smells like Autumn!  I wanted something that was a little spicy but still feminine and Indigo was exactly what I was looking for.    I’ve already been wearing it every day since I got it an I can’t tell you how many compliments I get.  I definitely feel like this is the most mysterious scent on the list and that’s really why I chose this one.

Notes: Moroccan Tea, Kashmir Wood, Cardamom, Wild Fig and Bergamot

Style: Warm, Aromatic, Mysterious
